Buying

Buying a Home

Finding the right home is only part of the process. Understanding what you're buying is just as important.

Let's Start with Your Goals

Before we begin looking at homes, I want to understand what you're hoping to accomplish. Are you searching for a home you'll stay in for years, or is this likely to be a shorter-term move? What matters most to you, and where are you willing to compromise?

Those conversations help us focus on properties that make sense for your needs, your budget, and your plans for the future.

What Buying with Me Looks Like

  1. Finding & Evaluating Homes

I'll help you explore your options, narrow the search, and look at properties with a practical eye.

When we tour a home, I'm paying attention to more than the finishes. Layout, condition, functionality, potential improvements, and future resale considerations all matter.

Sometimes a home that needs a little work is worth a closer look. Other times, a beautifully presented property deserves a few more questions.

I want you to understand what you're considering before you make a decision.

  2. Understanding the Contracts

I believe you should understand what you're signing.

From the Buyer Agency Agreement to the Agreement of Sale, I'll take the time to explain the documents, important terms, deadlines, and responsibilities involved.

I've completed extensive contract training and have experience with many different types of transactions. However, if something falls outside my expertise, I'll be upfront about it and help you find the appropriate professional or resource.

  3. Making an Offer & Negotiating

When you find a home you want to pursue, we'll review comparable sales, property condition, market activity, and the terms that matter most to you.

Price is only one part of an offer. Inspections, contingencies, financing, and settlement timing can all influence the outcome.

My responsibility is to represent your interests and negotiate the strongest terms possible for your situation. I believe respectful communication often leads to better results, but I'm also comfortable standing firm when necessary.

  4. Inspections & Due Diligence

An accepted offer is an important milestone, but there's still work to do.

Inspections and due diligence help us better understand the property's condition and identify concerns that may need further evaluation.

I'll help you review the findings, understand your contractual options, and coordinate with inspectors, contractors, engineers, or other professionals when additional expertise is needed.

  5. From Contract to Closing

Financing, appraisal, title, insurance, repairs, and deadlines all need attention before settlement.

I'll help keep everything moving, communicate with the professionals involved, and make sure you understand what's happening along the way.

And After the Keys Are Yours

My relationship with my clients doesn't end at the closing table. Whether you need a contractor recommendation six months later, have a question about your home, or just want a second opinion on a project, I'm always happy to hear from you.

I want to be someone you can count on long after you've moved in.
